Алекс - один в поле воин

Капранос блистает в реггее "World's Gone Mad" от Handsome Boy Modeling School. HBMS - результат кооперации Prince Paul и Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura (этот дядя подрабатывает у Деймона Элберна в Gorillaz).

Алекс, в ближайших планах которого значится совместная работа с популярнейшим коллективом прошлого — Sparks рассказывает: «У Дена похожий подход к организации, плюс записывается он в
своей домашней студии в Сан- Франциско. Поход к нему домой напомнил мне о временах, когда мы с ребятами корпели над нашим дебютником».

Ден: «Все пиплы, вовлеченные в проект Handsome Boy Modeling School нереально круты. И Алекс, определенно, не исключение»

Планируется, что сингл, на котором так же можно будет услышать культовых музыкантов Del The Funky Homosapian и Barrington Levy, войдет Top 40 в уже в эти выходные.

Алекс тем временем надеется спеться с Роном и Расселом из американского дуэта Sparks. «Мы пару раз встречались со Sparks. И дело идет к тому, что Franz Ferdinand и Sparks сработаются. Сейчас по этому поводу ведутся переговоры+Было бы замечательно записать с ними новую песню. Sparks в свое время очень повлияли на нас. Да и вообще, сотрудничество — хорошая вещь".

Первый альбом Franz Ferdinand получил Mercury Music Prize и NME award за лучший альбом 2004 года. Причем вокалист утверждает, что успех, выпавший на долю команды не висит над их головами как дамоклов меч теперь, когда четверка работает над второй пластинкой.

«Мы по-прежнему делаем музыку ради музыки. И если ты отойдешь от этого правила, твое участие в группе будет бессмысленно. Люди, которые сочиняют музыку только ради денег сочиняют скучную
музыку».
